Samuel L. Jackson has appeared many movies, including ones with airhead Gwyneth Paltrow but that was a surprise to her. Kevin Feige revealed the confusion saying "Gwyneth Paltrow [was] asking why Sam Jackson was there, and the other actors [were] jumping in saying, 'What are you talking about? He's Nick Fury! You've been in movies with him." Of course she didn't recognize him, she's more focused on squeezing jade eggs than paying attention to anything outside of her bubble of delusions.
